While the local gardener intends to support the peaceful songbirds, an elegant but greedy white-tailed deer has crashed the party in a full, formal tuxedo and black bow tie. With an elongated pink tongue unfurled to scoop up black oil sunflower seeds, the deer operates in tandem with a tiny, frenzied chipmunk accomplice down below. Meanwhile, a pair of highly indignant northern cardinals flank the scene, screaming in protest as their expensive wooden buffet is thoroughly ransacked by these uninvited mammalian high-society freeloaders.

Visually, this original 8×8 inch painting utilizes a vibrant, lime-tinged chartreuse background with horizontal striations that simulate a glowing backyard hedge.
